Although it may not be custom to start a court proceeding with a prayer, I think it would be very difficult for them to stop you or shout you down for doing so. Remember that blasphemy may no longer be a crime, but it also never looks good, especially from people that take an oath who may be seen as committing it. The word honour is hardly used in society anymore, but we can see how important it is. I think the same goes for prayer.
I'm not convinced that you need to be outside the Bar. You could for example when asked to confirm your name say that you will answer with a prayer. What can they do if you word the prayer well. Even if you are within their jurisdiction, they still work for the Queen according to their oath and would end up being trapped.
Going from memory, I think there are very strong laws about treason against the Queen which are ignored generally but would apply to them. For example, I believe it is treason to say that we should have a republic. But that needs to be confirmed.
