Just received a very funny letter from NatWest, here is an excerpt:

RE:Request for copy of credit agreement under Section 77 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

We write in response to your recent correspondence dated 25th September 2009.

Unfortunately we do not hold your signature on record, please can you sign your correspondence and provide us with another form of identification.

We look forward to receiving the requested information.


If they don't have my signature on record, then they cannot have a valid credit agreement. Do they really think I am going to send them my signature so they can forge a credit agreement? :rotfl:
(perhaps they are just after ID so they don't send it to some imposter- I never sign my letters to banks)
