Hi Strawmansarah,

Please let me know if you need any assistance with your projects. I am a self employed IT blokie and am happy to offer my services for free. I live in the essex area if that isn't too far away.

God yes, we could do with you - at least at the begining, to create a database of all documents necessary for administration of a Court De Jure. The first one opens on 5th April 2010 in Torquay, Devon, BTW  Fancy a holiday? :giggle:

See this post viewtopic.php?f=30&t=4898 for details

Hi Strawmansarah,

Put my name down too, I'm a web programmer if that helps :sun:

I wish! :giggle:

Great thing with computers is I can probably help from here. If you could PM me with some of the finer points on how you'd like the database(s) to be setup then I will gladly help. Perhaps you could do a quick flow chart of how you'd like them to operate from yours/users perspective, if you have the time of course.

Hi dmurphy25,

Do you have any experience with Drupal? I ask because I have a domain already up and running ready to be a database frontend (temporary measure).

Thank you, THANK YOU everyone :)

I would love all the help I (we) can get... we're rather snowed under at the moment, as I'm sure you can imagine!! :ouch:

I shall have to give some time to making a definitive(ish) list of what will be required, and design some templates. Please forgive me if that takes a few days, I'm sitting here with double pneumonia at the mo, so am struggling to keep up... However I shall not be beaten :)

LAW will prevail... I hope :thinks:

Hi Barny,

No I don't have any experience with Drupal, I build AJAX web applications the old fashioned way :sun:

I just started putting together a database design but since you seem to be much further ahead than me I'll leave that to you...

Since I specialise in designing web user interfaces, any objection to me putting together a prototype? If not then I guess we'll have to figure out how to integrate as we go along... Any thoughts?

Dave.

Oh sure, if interfaces are your thing then please, do. The only reason I use Drupal is I don't usually have to worry about the interface, I just stick a theme on it and off I go.

I think we should be able to put something together pretty quick :sun:

I agree, so I guess the quickest way is for you to use your drupal frontend buildy thingy to make a basic front end that works properly with your back-end and I will create a UI that matches the spec of your basic UI, that way integration should be less problematic.

What do you think?

Don't want to spoil the fun, but maybe the technicalities would be better discussed via PM - so this thread remains on track?? Just a thought :)
